1. a scarf wound around the head or around a cap, worn originally by Muslim men, but now worn also by Sikhs and certain others who are of Asian origin but not of the Muslim faith.
2. any headdress like this, such as a big handkerchief tied around the head: »

3. a small hat with little or no brim, worn by women and children.
